If you live in Copperas Cove and have lost your teeth due to decay, gum disease, or trauma, dentures may be a great option for you.  Dr. Grantham has the right touch when fitting his patients for dentures. He wants to help you get back to living life to its fullest.

Why would I get dentures?

Dentures are very different today than they were in the past.  Most people imagine the clunky, ill-fitting dentures of their grandparents era. Today, dentures are a much different experience. A denture that is well done can change your daily life in many ways.  Dentures or partials can take someone with little to no confidence, and transform them into someone who can’t stop smiling. Dentures by Dr. Grantham fit securely, and are created and placed with such attention to detail – things like slight variance in color; translucency, and shape of natural teeth are replicated in the prosthesis.

Dentures also help maintain bone structure. When teeth are lost, the bone beneath begins to atrophy. A denture or partial can help maintain the structure of the bone and prevent ‘sunken face’ and bone deterioration. Lost teeth can also change your speech. The muscles in your mouth may regain normal function when teeth are put back in place. Finally, we know how difficult it can be to give up some of your favorite foods because of lost or missing teeth. Dentures will give you back the ability to enjoy your favorite foods again!

If you are worried about dentures slipping or moving, rest assured that modern dentures are much more secure due to the precision Dr. Grantham can attain in fitting them. Additionally, if you would like a denture that is even more secure, Dr. Grantham can discuss placing implants that will help lock the denture in place. The denture will be made to connect to the implants for a stable and comfortable fit.

Dentures do wear and stain faster than natural teeth, so be prepared to be refitted every 5 years or so.

If you are worried about the potential cost of dentures, please let us know.  We are proud to offer our patients in-office financing options so you don’t have to choose between your other obligations and your dental health. We can help you get the dental care you need at a price you can afford.

COVID-19 UPDATE

*Temporary Office Hours: Mondays - Thursday from 8AM to 3PM

On March 22nd, Gov. Abbott announced new restrictions on non-urgent medical and dental procedures so that Texas can maximize its capacity for medical professionals, hospital beds, and the supply of personal protective equipment (PPE).

From now until April 21, 2020, all dental offices in Texas must limit care to emergency treatment only, including our practice. If you have an appointment scheduled, please wait for our team to reach out to reschedule your appointment. If you receive an appointment confirmation notification, please disregard the message.

Please note that effective March 23rd, all appointments between now and April 21st will need to be rescheduled. Please wait for our team to reach out to reschedule your appointment.

We will have limited staff working at various intervals to handle any questions you may have, as well as take care of your emergency dental needs. If anyone you know is impacted by clinic closures and experiencing an urgent dental matter, we can see them too if they are free of symptoms and not under mandated quarantine due to possible exposure.

While this mandated closure is out of our control, we will continue to control what we can: to smile, stay positive, and share kindness as we head into unknown territory. We are confident that the good fortune we have had to deliver outstanding dental care, will once again return and we are looking forward to that day. Until then, stay well.
